What is Green Purpose?

Green Purpose, LLC is an eco-minded enterprise that provides communities with innovative solutions for reducing the amount of valuable resources that are being wasted every day. The goals of Green Purpose are to reduce solid waste and develop educational economic growth by creating new ways of thinking sustainably in the most convenient way possible to the customer.

What are we working on now?

We believe in green living and research shows that our passion is shared by much of our community. Green Purpose is currently working on becoming the one-stop location for recycling, reuse, and repurposing. Our goal is to combine a traditional recycling center with a green-shopping store, a materials exchange program, and custom repurposing solutions center. As the end of the year approaches we are hoping to gain enough momentum to grow within the community and beyond.  The only way we will be able to achieve this goal is through exposure and marketing.  Everyday we are coming up with new solutions to grow and expand through corporate partnerships and other business opportunities. With your support we will be able to achieve all of our goals.

Why is it important to join Green Purpose?

When we at Green Purpose became aware that Champaign was closing their only public recycling drop off center, we knew that it was imperative that we should stand by idly miss out on a potential opportunity to help the community.

Our goal is not to open a new traditional recycling drop off center, but to combine a traditional recycling center with our innovative one-stop sustainable solutions Green Purpose Club. The Green Purpose Recycling Center will be used for education, recycling, repurposing, reusing and many other green initiatives to better our surrounding communities.

You may wonder why you should have to pay $5 a month for something that you had for free before? The answer is simple; by purchasing a membership you are contributing to a solution of waste management, as well as bettering the environment in which we all live in. Becoming a member to Green Purpose will benefit you and our community far beyond just having the ability to recycle. Green Purpose is committed to keeping all of your recycling and other waste out of landfills and away from harming the environment.

Neighborhoods, apartment complexes, schools, and local businesses will all be benefitted by this center and its endless solutions of junk.

In order for Green Purpose to be sustainable, we must obtain 3,000 club members so that we can cover our operational costs associated with running this “green” solution center. Instead of operating this center like a normal business, we thought it would be better to create a business that focuses on the well being of our surrounding communities as a whole. We will help our community by accepting materials that aren’t taken by traditional recycling centers, and instead of re-selling them; we will give them back to the people who care, our members.
